Hey, nice to meet you! I'm Maserati, a 1-year-old doberman/pitbull mix, and I've been at the shelter for 32 days waiting for my forever home. I can be a little timid and shy when we first meet, but if you give me a little time and patience to get comfortable, I'll warm right up to you. Once I do, you'll see just how sweet and fun-loving I really am! I've been in playgroups with multiple other dogs here at the shelter, and I absolutely love to play, run around, and have fun with my friends. I'm hoping to find a loving home where I can continue building my confidence, enjoy lots of playtime, and finally have a family to call my own.

Canine Adult adoption fee (canines over six months of age): $120*

Canine Puppy adoption fee (canines under six months of age): $150*

Canine Specialty Breeds adoption fee: $200-$400

All Feline adoption fee: $80 $60* thanks to a generous sponsorship from Animal Hospital of Nicholasville

Feline Specialty adoption fee: $100-$300*

*Our adoption fee includes the animals spay/neuter surgery, a rabies vaccination, FVRCP (for felines), FIV/FELV test (for felines), Jessamine County license (for canines if the adopter lives within Jessamine County), DAPPV vaccine (for canines), deworming, flea and tick treatment, fecal and heartworm exam, and a voucher for a free health exam by a partnered Nicholasville veterinarian (ask a staff member for details).

We cannot guarantee the health of our animals’ past adoption and recommend a visit to your veterinarian within seven days of taking your pet home. By signing below, you are accepting full responsibility for the animal’s medical needs past this point. When adopting from JCACC, we expect you to make a lifetime commitment to the care of the animal. If you ever find yourself unable to properly care for the animal, you agree by signing below that you will return the animal to our facility instead of rehoming it. Please note that we have the right to refuse an adoption for any reason.
