Hi, I'm Blue! I'm a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd mix, and I've been waiting at the shelter for 54 days to find my forever home. I'm a playful, energetic boy who loves spending time with my play partners here at the shelter, especially when I get to run around and soak up the sunshine. I'm looking for a family that will let me have fun, play, and enjoy life, but I'm also a big fan of cuddles, pets, and curling up close with my people after a long day of adventures. Canine Adult adoption fee (canines over six months of age): $120*

Canine Puppy adoption fee (canines under six months of age): $150*

Canine Specialty Breeds adoption fee: $200-$400

All Feline adoption fee: $80 $60* thanks to a generous sponsorship from Animal Hospital of Nicholasville

Feline Specialty adoption fee: $100-$300*

*Our adoption fee includes the animals spay/neuter surgery, a rabies vaccination, FVRCP (for felines), FIV/FELV test (for felines), Jessamine County license (for canines if the adopter lives within Jessamine County), DAPPV vaccine (for canines), deworming, flea and tick treatment, fecal and heartworm exam, and a voucher for a free health exam by a partnered Nicholasville veterinarian (ask a staff member for details).

We cannot guarantee the health of our animals’ past adoption and recommend a visit to your veterinarian within seven days of taking your pet home. By signing below, you are accepting full responsibility for the animal’s medical needs past this point. When adopting from JCACC, we expect you to make a lifetime commitment to the care of the animal. If you ever find yourself unable to properly care for the animal, you agree by signing below that you will return the animal to our facility instead of rehoming it. Please note that we have the right to refuse an adoption for any reason.
