My Details

Hi, I'm Ramona! I'm a 3-year-old shepherd mix, and I've been at the shelter for 52 days waiting for my forever family. I can be a little shy when we first meet, but don't let that fool you - I warm up quickly and am ready to be your best friend in no time. My absolute favorite thing in the world is belly rubs! The moment you start petting me, I'll probably roll right over so you can give me all the belly scratches I can handle. I'm also good with other dogs and have enjoyed being in playgroups here at the shelter. What I'm really hoping for is a loving home where I can spend time with my people, get lots of affection, and finally have a place to call my own. If you're looking for a sweet, loving companion who will happily soak up every belly rub, I might be the perfect girl for you!

Canine Adult adoption fee (canines over six months of age): $120*

Canine Puppy adoption fee (canines under six months of age): $150*

Canine Specialty Breeds adoption fee: $200-$400

All Feline adoption fee: $80 $60* thanks to a generous sponsorship from Animal Hospital of Nicholasville

Feline Specialty adoption fee: $100-$300*

*Our adoption fee includes the animals spay/neuter surgery, a rabies vaccination, FVRCP (for felines), FIV/FELV test (for felines), Jessamine County license (for canines if the adopter lives within Jessamine County), DAPPV vaccine (for canines), deworming, flea and tick treatment, fecal and heartworm exam, and a voucher for a free health exam by a partnered Nicholasville veterinarian (ask a staff member for details).

We cannot guarantee the health of our animals’ past adoption and recommend a visit to your veterinarian within seven days of taking your pet home. By signing below, you are accepting full responsibility for the animal’s medical needs past this point. When adopting from JCACC, we expect you to make a lifetime commitment to the care of the animal. If you ever find yourself unable to properly care for the animal, you agree by signing below that you will return the animal to our facility instead of rehoming it. Please note that we have the right to refuse an adoption for any reason.
